We understand that by having safety at the forefront, systems and procedures, the financial profitability and long term sustainability of the business continues, offering stability and security to the employees.

QUALITY STATEMENT

The finished quality of all projects undertaken by LCS is the primary concern of every person involved in the planning and development stages.

Each will be responsible for producing an accurately constructed and well-presented product that will provide the client with a quality outcome that will fulfill all of the requirements of the relevant specifications and drawings.

To achieve the desired performance and quality assurance, the Company’s reporting system will be rigidly adhered to, thorough inspections will be carried out at the critical stages of production and progress charts will be monitored regularly.

Developing issues highlighted by this reporting will be attended to promptly to minimise the effects in the area of lost production and materials wastage.

To achieve the above, LCS have introduced an integrated management system which has been developed to satisfy the requirements of the AS NZS ISO 9001-2008 Quality Management Systems.

All personnel involved in administration and supervision will be totally conversant with the Quality Manual and associated Procedures and will ensure that they are maintained and efficiently executed.

The quality system will be reviewed from time to time in an effort to improve our production methods and to keep abreast of technological advances.

Evaluation

This policy will be reviewed every two years with respect to:

  • Assessing whether the objectives have been met;
  • Incorporating any suggestions from employees within the workplace;
  • Incorporating any amendment to relevant legislation.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

As part of the commitment to achieving the principles of environmental sustainability in the workplace, the Company recognises the moral and legal responsibility to ensure that the activities, products and services are designed to enhance the environment in the communities in which the business operates, and to ensure that the operations do not place the local community or environment at risk of harm.

The Company is committed to environmental improvement and prevention of pollution.

Management will work with the customers, suppliers and the community to adopt procedures that:

  • reduce waste through innovative work practices and recycling practices;
  • minimise environmental impacts by reduction of polluting substances produced;
  • minimise the impact of our operations on the neighboring community;
  • increase the use of environmentally acceptable materials, equipment and technology in place of those which are considered harmful;
  •  ensure that the suppliers follow acceptable environmental policies, and
  • actively promote environmental awareness among employees, contractors, clients, customers and the general public.

The Company recognises that the overall responsibility of environmental sustainability rests with Management, who will be accountable for the implementation of this policy. 

These responsibilities include:

  • ensuring that all environmental policies and procedures are implemented;
  • establishing measurable objectives and targets to ensure continued improvement aimed at the elimination of waste, pollution and environmental harm;
  • encouraging consultation and cooperation between management, employees and stakeholders  in matters which may affect or impact on the environment; and
  • providing adequate resources to meet these environmental commitments.

Workers also have responsibilities, which include:

  • following all environmental policies and procedures; and
  • recognising and reporting hazards which may affect the health and well-being of the environment.

To achieve the above, LCS have introduced an integrated management system which has been developed to satisfy the requirements of the AS NZS ISO 14004-2004 Environmental Management Systems.

The Company and Management seek cooperation from each person in realising the environmental obligations for all concerned.

WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

The most valuable asset to the Company is its people whose health, safety and welfare are the highest priority. This policy recognises that responsibility.

To meet the objectives of this policy, the Company is committed to regular discussions with persons to ensure that health, safety and welfare issues are regularly reviewed. Health, safety and welfare are most effectively managed when the Company and its people identify and solve the problems together.

Management must ensure:

  • Effective implementation of this Policy;
  • Their responsibilities under the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 are met;
  • Agreed procedures for regular discussions are followed;
  • Regular workplace inspections are conducted;
  • Information, training and supervision for all persons in the correct use of plant, equipment, machinery, chemicals and other substances used, is provided.

Each person who enters the workplace and/or works for the Company has responsibilities for observing occupational health, safety and welfare requirements.

Each Person refers to each:

  •  Employee
  •  Independent Contractor
  •  Visitor or person from the General Public

Each Person:

  • Must comply with the implementation of this Policy whilst at the Company’s workplace.
  • Have a duty to take care of their own health, safety and welfare; and that of others who may be affected by their actions or failure to act whilst at the workplace;
  • Must comply with safety procedures and directions set out by the Company;
  • Must respect and comply with their responsibilities under the Work Health and Safety Act 2012
  • Must not enter restricted areas without permission
  • Must inform the Company of dangers, accidents, near accidents & incidents they become aware of at the workplace
  • Must also comply with the Environmental Policy as defined by the Company;
  • Must also comply with the Personal Protective Equipment Policy as defined by the Company;
  • Must also comply with Harassment, Discrimination and Bullying Policy as defined by the Company.

Independent Contractors:

  • Must also comply with the Independent Contractor OHS&W Policy as defined by the Company;
  • Must also comply with the Environmental Policy as defined by the Company;
  • Must also comply with the Personal Protective Equipment Policy as defined by the Company;
  • Must also comply with Harassment, Discrimination and Bullying Policy as defined by the Company.

To achieve the above, LCS have introduced an integrated management system which has been developed to satisfy the requirements of the AS NZS 4801-2001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

Evaluation

  • Incorporating any suggestions from employees within the workplace;
  • Incorporating any amendment to relevant legislation.
