Our Story

In 2002, two close friends shared a vision to establish a ‘quality-focused’ commercial landscape business, thereby filling a void in South Australia’s under-resourced landscape industry. With future demand being forecast, a business model was developed and initiated creating solid foundations for this exciting long-term venture, thus ‘Landscape Construction Services’ was born. The model was underpinned by our ‘best on ground’ work ethos, an ideology we still bring with us to work each day.

A fast-growing reputation for the delivery of quality landscaping services helped establish a strong and consistent brand with new housing developments on the outskirts of Adelaide fuelling our rapid growth. By 2005, new premises were required to accommodate expanding staff numbers and growing infrastructure.

A large number of high profile projects followed, including the Adelaide Zoo’s Panda Enclosure and Coast to Coast Light Rail development. These key projects help propel us to the forefront of the industry where our work has been recognised with various awards.

By 2009 our steady growth provided us with the confidence to invest in two parcels of industrial land for future development north and south of the city. Here we could establish depots to service the wider Adelaide region, integrating a commercial nursery with our core landscaping business.

Having spent many years sourcing regional work through our offices in Whyalla and the Copper Coast, we’re now servicing all areas of South Australia, in particular the local government sector. We’ve also undertaken numerous projects within remote Aboriginal Communities, and regional centres including Ceduna, Mildura and Port Hughes to name a few.

Today we are recognised in the top 100 private businesses in SA, employing 110 people and commanding the respect of our industry peers. With these early years behind us and many exciting years to come, those two friends are stronger for the experience – more passionate and committed than ever about growing LCS Landscapes well into the future.
