WEST BEACH PARKS SQUARE

Delivered by the LCS Landscapes Design & Construct team for West Beach Parks, in collaboration with Studio Nine Architects, The Square is Adelaide's newest beach-side community recreation hub in a highly sought-after family destination. Featuring a diverse range of facilities, The Square is designed to support community events boasting a playground, kiosk, BBQ area, expansive lush turf areas and plenty of shelter from the harsh summer sun. Softscape elements include a butterfly garden, coastal dune and hardy native planting, as well as a large number of shade trees, bordered by feature Kapunda seating rocks. Other unique aspects of the site include coastal custom artwork and sculptures by ACA Studios Allan Somner, a descendent of the Ngarrindjeri people.

Working to tight timeframes (less than 5 months), our commercial construction teams collaborated to ensure this high-profile project was completed to the highest quality in time for location's the peak period of summer school holidays.

The success of the revitalised space is celebrated as an important investment toward the broader strategic vision for the area, providing opportunities for connection to nature, play and community.  Aligning with the State Government's commitment to community-focussed public gathering spaces, The Square plays a valuable role in ensuring our communities remain liveable, healthy, and sustainable.
