THORNDON PARK PLAYGROUND

As the head contractor, LCS Landscapes, in collaboration with JPE Design Studio, took immense pride in creating this exceptional play space.

Designed to be a regional landmark, the play space is a vibrant showcase of inclusivity and sustainability, aligning with the Campbelltown City Council’s commitment to accessible and contemporary play environments. The involvement of the City of Campbelltown’s Disability Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee (DAIAC) and Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) ensured that the park catered to all abilities, creating a welcoming space for every visitor to enjoy the health and social benefits.

The space’s inclusivity extends to its educational aspects, featuring Auslan signage from Deaf Butterfly and communication signs by Two Way Street. the park demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability through the use of recycled materials, solar-powered furniture, and a thoughtful selection of over 40 plant species, enhancing biodiversity and sensory experiences.
